Turning a long spindle on NOVA-DVR-XP lathe

I discovered the joys of working with wood in 2003 as I made picture frames to hang odd-sized pictures. Next I went on to make furniture, one of which was a three legged table with carved legs. I enjoyed the carving which eventually took me to woodturning and soon the hobby became a passion.

I am now a member of the local Sunderland Wood Turning Club as well as the national Association of Woodturners of Great Britain (AWGB). The above picture shows me working on my faithful, a NOVA-DVR-XP lathe giving me 2HP motor power with electronic speed control.
